Recipe: Chocolate Yogurt Cake

Ingredients :

Chocolate Yogurt Cake :
170g Yoplait Nature Sans Sucre
1 large egg
1 cup granulated sugar
6 Tablespoons butter at room temperature 

1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 cup brewed coffee, room temperature or warm*
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt


1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
2/3 cocoa
3-4 Tablespoons water
1 teaspoon vanilla



1. Preheat oven to 350° F. Line a 9-by-9-inch square baking pan with parchment paper and spray with cooking spray.

2. In a bowl, whisk together all dry ingredients; flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

3. In another large mixing bowl combine egg, sugar, yogurt, butter, coffee and vanilla. Whisk until smooth and combined.

4. Combine both dry and wet ingredients, stir until just combined.

5. Pour into the prepared pan and bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean.

6. Whisk together powdered sugar, cocoa, water, and vanilla until smooth. Pour over cooled cake.

7. Allow cake to cool in pan completely, at least 30 minutes, before adding the glaze.
